The first two ‘Difference Makers’ have been recognized by Domtar.
Every week the company selects someone in our community that is making a positive difference during the COVID-19 crisis.
This week three employees at the Dryden Library as well as Kate Cook and her team at Dryden GM have been acknowledged.
Tina Wallin, Jayme Stansfield and Dayna DeBenedet decided they wanted to bring some joy to local Seniors.
They went to the library and made over 30 Easter Baskets and dropped them off at Patricia Gardens.
The goal was to bring some smiles, happiness and love into their homes as some seniors may be feeling lonely because of the current events.
Kate Cook and staff at the GM dealership quickly put together a very successful food drive in support of the Dryden Food Bank last week.
They drove around town and picked up donations outside of people’s homes, ensuring a contact-less pick up and contact-less delivery to the Food Bank.
More than 1,300 pounds of food and $820 was collected.
