DOMTAR DIFFERENCE-MAKERS
We have had a huge response to the Domtar Difference-Maker campaign! So instead of just ONE featured difference-maker, TWO have been selected this week!
Up first, Kate Cook and her team at Dryden GM for quickly pulling together a hugely successful food drive to support the Dryden Food Bank. Kate and the crew from Dryden GM drove around town last week and picked up donations left outside of people’s homes, ensuring a contact-less pick up and contact-less delivery to the Dryden Food bank!
Our second set of Difference-Makers are three employees of the Dryden Library (Dayna DeBenedet, Tina Wallin, and Jayme Stansfield) who decided that they wanted to bring a little extra joy to some of our seniors in Dryden.
Despite the library being closed, and employees laid off, they utilized the library space recently to make over 30 Easter baskets to take to the seniors living at Patricia Gardens.
They wanted to bring some smiles, happiness, and love into their homes, as some of these seniors may have been feeling very lonesome because of what has been happening in our world.
A HUGE thank you to Kate, the Dryden GM staff, as well as Tina, Jayme, and Dayna at the Dryden Public Library!
We love seeing the difference you make in our community!
Nominate A Difference-Maker!
Do you know of someone in our community that is making a difference during the COVID-19 crisis?
Someone that is working extra hard, going above and beyond to help out or being especially thoughtful?
We want to hear all about it!
Nominate a community DIFFERENCE-MAKER by emailing differencemaker@domtar.com.
Tell us what this person or group is doing that makes them a difference-maker.
We will select a community difference-maker of the week to be profiled on CKDR and they will receive a voucher for a take out meal at restaurant of their choice in Dryden.
It’s Domtar’s way of saying thank you to our community!
