Much needed ventilators will be partially built at the Bombardier plant in Thunder Bay.
Union official Dominic Pasqualino explains they are helping another company construct about 700 ventilators and hopes it will be just the beginning of something bigger.
“The whole world needs ventilators. Maybe we should build them for the rest of the world as well and build them faster.”
He says the project will help employ about 35 workers but he can’t say how long it will take.
Pasqualino adds they are happy to do their part to help find a solution to this big global problem.
