Yesterday was the day!! Delivery of the excess funds from my latest GoFundMe for charity! 😊 Me being the ‘Peter Parker’ of the radio world – was uhhhh a little busy when this story broke so thanks to CKDR News Reporter Rayson Martyn for being on scene to capture the images of – Hero: Spider-Dad McCarthy, Hero: Catherine Dashnay & Hero and Dryden Food Bank Manager: Al Huckabay.
In light of COVID-19 physical distancing was kept in mind although as you can see in the outdoor shot Spider-Dad might have been a little excited to be close to Al – the Food Bank hero…but no worries – Spider-Dad had a mask on….go figure! 😉
A total of $1,725.00 went from the webbed fingers…tossed to campaign ending draw winner Catherine (who selected the Food Bank to be the receipiant of the funds) and then tossed to Al for safe keeping for the Food Bank. The money will go towards more non-perishable food purchases! Catherine receives a charitable tax receipt from the Food Bank and a 25 dollar Tim Hortons gift card from me…….I mean Spider-Dad!
There were many contributors to the fund who believe in helping others. The TEAM for charity did it together! Together we are stronger. Together we can do more to help. Together we did do more again!! TEAM!!
