The Mayor of Dryden is asking everyone to stay the course in the fight against COVID-19.
Wilson issued a statement on the CKDR Morning Show today. (Tuesday)
He stresses it’s up to local residents to help stop the spread of the deadly virus and minimize its impact on you, your family and friends.
That includes physical distancing and self-isolation.
Dryden Police and Provincial Police now have the authority to issue stiff penalties and fines for violating the rules and regulations.
Wilson outlined the importance of frequent hand washing, the use of hand sanitizer, cleaning your work space and avoiding close contact with anyone who has a fever or cough.
“We are all in this together and it’s our collective efforts and diligence in dealing with this threat, that will pull us through this crisis and make us stronger coming out of it.”
He also thanked all front-line personnel and essential staff for their work and dedication during this difficult time and City-wide State of Emergency.
