Ottawa isn’t just sitting back after White Houser requested 3M stop selling N95 masks to Canada.
Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland says it’s a very important issue that the government is very energetically working to resolve.
“This is a whole-of government effort. All ministers are going to be, and are, reaching out to their U.S. counterparts. The Prime Minister is very personally involved, as am I,” Freeland says.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says despite the setback, they remain confident they will get the necessary personal protective equipment.
