The Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation has taken extra precautionary measures to help protect residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Community leadership recently implemented a check point at the main access point of the community allowing local and essential traffic only.
The other two access roads to the community have been blocked off temporarily and the Landing/ice road is closed to the public.
The Wabigoon Lake Community Store is also closed to the public until further notice.
Residents of the First Nation community are asked to report any travel beyond Dryden and may be asked to self-isolate.
