Premier Doug Ford has sent out a province-wide emergency alert Friday afternoon over his government’s growing concerns over COVID-19.
Ford says the message will read as follows:
“Travellers returning to Ontario you are at high risk of spreading COVID-19, you are required by law to self-isolate for 14 days. Do not visit stores, family or friends and everyone should stay home to stop the spread.”
The Premier says this will be the first but most likely not the last time they use this important and powerful tool.
“Because as government one of the most important things we can do right now is keep the public informed and make sure you know how to keep yourself, your loved ones and your community safe,” Ford stressed.
