Ontario health officials are confirming another three deaths due to COVID-19, for a total of 18.
A total of 43 people in Canada have died from the virus as of this afternoon, including Manitoba’s first confirmed COVID-19 death.
Across the country, there have been over 4,100 confirmed positive cases, at least 200 of whom have since recovered.
In the Northwest region, there is one confirmed case in Thunder Bay and another in Fort Frances.
Health officials at the federal, provincial, and municipal level are stressing the need to stay 2 metres away from other people and stay at home if you feel unwell, to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
They continue to remind travellers to go straight home and self-isolate for 14 days after returning to Canada.
