The Dryden Regional Health Centre has strengthened visitor restrictions due to COVID-19.
The hospital has implemented “essential” visitation until further notice starting Friday afternoon.
That means the building is closed to all visitors and the cafeteria is closed.
There will be exceptions for one person starting on Saturday.
The visit can only be for a patient in labour, a paediatric patient or any patient at imminent end of life.
The one visitor will need to be approved and will be screened before they enter the building at the main entrance.
The measure was put in place on the recommendation of Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams.
