Health officials in the province are continuing to make progress in handling the backlog of tests for the COVID virus.
Associate Medical Officer of Health Dr. Barbara Yaffe suggests they do not anticipate any slowdown on that front.
She indicates they are handling about 3,000 lab tests a day and expect that to go to 5,000 a day next week.
The provincial health official says most of the labs are running multiple shifts 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
There are another 50 cases of COVID-19 in Ontario putting the total cases to date at 301 with only one in northwestern Ontario.
