The Atikokan General Hospital says it’s monitoring two people right now for possible cases of COVID-19.
The announcement comes on the hospital Facebook page, adding public health officials are now trying to determine if the patients were in contact with others.
The only confirmed case in northwestern Ontario was in Fort Frances and that individual remains in self-isolation at home.
The Atikokan Hospital says they have been assessing and swabbing community members based on public health guidelines and stress social distancing is necessary at this time.
