Albert Turgeon
July 3, 1943 – March 14, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert William Peter Turgeon on March 14, 2020 in Dryden, ON.
Albert is survived by his wife Linda, his children, Sheri (Dan) Jim (Jenn), Michael, Donna (Kevin) Hutchison, grandchildren, Tyler, Jesse, Madison, Chelsea, Blair and Travis, his mother, Anne, brother Toonie (Linda) sister, Evelyn (Bruce), brother-in-law Wayne (Val) Bolzan, sister-in-laws Barb, Nancy (Ben) Fehr and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Albert Sr. and brother Charlie.
He was born in Fort Frances and later moved his family to Dryden where he started his flooring installation profession for many years. He retired after 30 plus years from Weyerhaeuser as a millwright. His co-workers would remember him as Ab, Bert, or animal.
He enjoyed many camping and fishing trips to Williams Bay and Godson where he made many lifelong friends. He also spent many early morning visits at his friends for coffee.
A private family service to celebrate Albert’s life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Father Alan Campeau officiating. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
