Officials with the Dryden GM Ice Dogs have released a statement saying they are in full support of a decision to postpone the remainder of the regular season and playoff schedule due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Canadian Junior Hockey League has announced the suspension of the 2020 season until further notice for all of its member leagues including the SIJHL.
The Ice Dogs are asking fans to exercise preventative measures recommended by health officials including regular hand washing and not touching your face.
The team asks fans to not contact the executive or committees directly and updates will be provided through CKDR and Social Media.
Here is the official statement from the organization:
“For the health and safety of Ice Dogs fans, staff, and players, the club is in full support of the Canadian Junior Hockey League and Superior International Junior Hockey League in their decision to postpone the remainder of the 2019-2020 regular season and playoff schedule.

We thank you for your patience and support. To all our fans, we encourage you to exercise preventative measures recommended by health officials.
