The province is investing more than $10.5-million in the mining industry.
Northern Development and Mines Minister Greg Rickford made the announcement last week at the Prospectors and Developers Association Conference in Toronto.
He says more than 28 companies will benefit from the funding.
Rickford says the money will help support more than 180 jobs in northern Ontario.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP says most of the cash will go to companies that support the mining sector in North Bay, Sudbury and Timmins.
