The Dryden Eagles Boys High School Hockey team probably deserved a better fate but they are down one in their Best-of-3 Semi-Final.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Saints scored in each of the three periods in a 3-0 win over visiting Dryden Wednesday night.
However, the Eagles matched the speed and intensity of the second ranked Saints and carried the play in the final frame.
St. Thomas Aquinas would end up outshooting Dryden 35-30.
Game 2 is Friday in Dryden.
