The Dryden Regional Health Centre has been named one of Canada’s 2019 Healthy Workplace Great Employers.
The award is given to organizations who put a heavy emphasis on healthy lifestyles, mental health and workplace culture, physical environment and corporate social responsibility.
Hospital Chief Executive Officer Doreen Armstrong-Ross says it’s part of their campaign to provide ‘Care That Works.”
Armstrong-Ross notes ensuring staff are safe and comfortable will result in patients getting the best care possible.
She also says they want to make sure their employees work in an environment that fosters their mental and physical health as well as their practice to deliver the best care possible.
Armstrong-Ross stresses they want to be a “patient-family centered organization”.
