A short handed Dryden Eagles team couldn’t keep up with a fast and aggressive St. Thomas Aquinas squad Monday afternoon.
The Saints pulled away with three goals in the final frame en route to a 6-0 win over the Eagles in Kenora.
St. Thomas now has a 1-0 lead in the Best-of-3 Semi Final.
The Saints outshot Dryden 42-11.
The Eagles could only muster one shot on net in the second period.
The defending Girls champions look to stave off elimination Thursday when the two teams meet again in Dryden.
