The Chief Executive Officer of a regional bus company is still looking for answers from the province concerning the expansion of Ontario Northland service to Thunder Bay east.
Kasper Wabinski of Kasper Transportation says he’s hoping to meet with Northern Development Minister Greg Rickford sometime this week, to go over ideas to balance the two companies.
Wabinski says he strongly favours private enterprise as opposed to a government run business.
“We believe in entrepreneurship and creativity because we believe in empowering the individual to be successful in his life.”
Wabinski says “I appreciate his (Greg Rickford) hard work of trying to bring a balance of positive services to the region. Obviously I believe the Minister should be supporting private enterprise.”
He adds he’s looking forward to hear Rickford’s future vision of transportation services in the north.
Kasper Transportation says it will make necessary adjustments in its business plan with the April expansion of Ontario Northland.
