The Dryden GM Ice Dogs finally wrap up a lengthy road swing tonight (Friday) as they battle the Norskies in Thief River Falls.
The game starts at 7:00pm and CKDR will have the call.
Forward Malcolm Huemmert says they will then prepare for a Monday matinee against Thunder Bay, a game being sponsored by the local Rotary Club.
Huemmert says “They have gifted every child in our community an Ice Dogs regular season pass, ages of 6 to 12 years old.”
He notes the Rotary motto is “Service above self” and he believes his team can incorporate that belief in volunteering in the community and how they handle themselves both on and off the ice.
Huemmert stresses he’s looking for a big turnout, noting the support from the community drives them each and every day.
The February 17th game starts at 3:30 at the Memorial Arena.
