Time is running out to nominate a community in the 14th annual Kraft Hockeyville competition.
The deadline to enter is Sunday, February 9th at 10:59pm central.
Kraft Heinz Senior Brand Manager Matt Bruce says the winning entry will receive $250,000 for arena upgrades as well as host an NHL Pre-Season game.
Three additional community finalists will also be awarded $25,000 each for arena upgrades as well as $10,000 to purchase new equipment for minor hockey programs.
Bruce says they decided to launch this campaign 14 years ago because they knew how passionate this country is about hockey.
He notes Kraft Heinz want to ensure youth and adults have a place to play.
“Having somewhere where they can be active. Learn life lessons. Make lifetime friends. That’s the importance to have those facilities available to them.”
Bruce stresses they believe sports and culture are the foundation of healthy communities.
