The first plane from Wuhan, China carrying 176 Canadians on board is back on home soil.
The aircraft touched down at the Canadian Forces Base in Trenton, Ontario this morning. (Friday)
Health Minister Patty Hajdu stresses the passengers were screened for the deadly coronavirus at several stages.
The Thunder Bay-Superior North MP adds all passengers will be quarantined and housed in Trenton for two weeks.
Hajdu states “Each traveler will have a room and families will be grouped together. All bedrooms have complete bathrooms with a shower.”
A second plane is scheduled to be sent to China on Monday.
