Residents in the Kenora Riding are encouraged to let the government know how they feel about new firearm legislation.
A questionnaire has been sent out by Conservative MP Eric Melillo.
Melillo says it’s clear most people don’t like the Trudeau government’s new limits on firearm ownership.
“Talk to people across this region. Those who are gun owners and those that don’t even own guns or don’t even know people who own guns. But they are concerned with this Liberal overreach and the fact the Liberals are focused seemingly on taking guns from law abiding firearms owners.”
Melillo says stresses the government is doing nothing to address problems of gun smuggling and gang crime in the cities
The Conservative party is also out with a petition on the government changes.
The deadline to sign-on is February 15th.
