There was plenty of scoring to go around Thursday night at the Dryden Memorial Arena between the GM Ice Dogs and Thunder Bay North Stars.
The North Stars came out on top with a 9-5 win.
The Ice Dogs carried a 3-2 lead going into the second period as the two teams scored four goals in a span of a 1:34.
However, Thunder Bay would score five straight when Dryden GM mounted a mini comeback before it fizzled out in the end.
Malcolm Huemmert recorded a pair of goals, while Dylan Winsor and Nolan Marshall found the back of the net.
Stephen Minichiello recorded his first SIJHL goal for the Ice Dogs.
Thunder Bay outshot Dryden GM 45-43, with Jacob Anthony suffering the loss.
Cochenour’s Cody Bruchkowski had 2-goals and 1-assist for the North Stars.
Elsewhere, Wisconsin won their third straight of 2020 with a 3-2 extra time victory over visiting Fort Frances.
