Dryden OPP uncovered a large amount of cash during a routine stop Sunday afternoon.
OPP checked out an SUV after pulling it over just after 1 PM.
As a result of the stop, Police seized a large quantity of Canadian Currency.
Tommy DEMORIZI (29 years old) and Moise VALERIO-HERNANDEZ (34 years old) of Montreal, QC have been charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
- Trafficking in property obtained by crime s.355.2
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 s. 354(1) (a)
- Laundering Proceeds of Crime s. 462.3(1) (a)
Both accused will appear on 02 March 2020 in the Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
This incident is still under investigation and Dryden OPP officers were assisted by the North West Region Canine Unit. The exact amount seized was not released.
