Keatley, Reginald Lawrence
April 14, 1934 – Dryden, Ontario
December 19, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta
Reg Keatley of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the age of 85.
Reg was born in Dryden, ON, on April 14, 1934. He spent most of his adult life in Calgary, AB. He was a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters and a devoted and enthusiastic ballroom and square dancer. Much of Reg’s retirement was filled with research and travel throughout western Canada documenting grave sites of Royal Canadian Mounted Police force members lest they be forgotten. He was particularly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the work of Superintendent Joseph James Healy II (Ret.) at http://rcmpgraves.com. This appealed to Reg’s keen interest in genealogy and honoured those family members who had served in the force.
Reg is survived by his three sisters, Hazel (Ivor) Richardson of White Rock, BC, Marjorie (Ken) Little of Calgary, AB, and Margaret Parker of Estevan, SK. Reg was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Dorothy of Calgary, AB and brother-in-law Eric Parker of Estevan, SK.
