Ontario Energy Minister Greg Rickford stresses he still has his eye on gas prices in northwestern Ontario.
Rickford says he’s very disappointed with last years ruling from the Competition Bureau of no price fixing.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP says prices here at home are still skewed compared with those in the GTA.
He says we are paying about 10-12 cents more than highly populated areas in southern Ontario.
Rickford says he’s looking into solutions but notes he’s not entertaining a government controlled price-per-litre system right now.
Rickford notes he doesn’t have the end all answer but vows to continue work on lower pricing.
