Contract talks between the province and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association have broken down.
Two days of scheduled meetings lasted just half a day as the mediator adjourned discussions.
Union president Liz Stuart says the government’s standing firm on its position that she says includes “reckless, unpopular cuts.”
Stuart says they will move forward with job action starting Monday.
Catholic teachers won’t be completing report cards, participating in EQAO-related activities, and attending or participating in Ministry of Education initiatives among other things.
