In loving memory of Gary Hawkins, age 82 years, who passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2020 with his children by his side at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Gary is survived by his son Calvin (Jen) Hawkins of Dryden, daughter Glenda Rooney of Winnipeg, and three grandchildren Danielle, Deirdre, and Draven. He is also survived by his sister Helen Canfield of Kenora.
Gary grew up and lived in the Dryden area his entire life. He worked as a printer pressman at Alex Wilson Coldstream for 41 years and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He was proud, honest, and always lived independently on his own terms until he was recently hospitalized in December following a brief illness.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Dryden Regional Health Centre for their compassion, care and support during his stay in hospital.
Cremation is to take place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
