It’s business as usual at high schools across the Kenora and Rainy River Districts district today. (Wednesday)
A one day strike by secondary teachers and support staff is being held at eight school boards in the province.
Thunder Bay-Superior North Liberal MPP Michael Gravelle says he’s supporting educators, students and families in the labour dispute.
“I think the Ford government needs to listen better and understand that indeed the changes that they are proposing to make, the cuts, particularly to education, need to stop or else this kind of action will certainly continue.”
Gravelle notes teachers have a very good and strong case against increased class sizes and mandatory e-learning.
