It will truly be a Merry Christmas for area families this year thanks to your support.
The Dryden GM Christmas Cheer fundraiser is in the books and dealership owner Nick Beyak says the initiative continues to get bigger and better since its inception in 2014.
Beyak says more than $14,000 was donated this year.
He is once again matching all donations, pushing the total to $28,600.
Beyak says he’s extremely proud of the final total and is thanking all customers and community members who supported their cause.
Beyak notes “The need. The need hasn’t gone away. It’s important for us to give back to people that need it, especially this time of year.”
Christmas Cheer Coordinator Peggy Howard was blown away with the response.
“What an incredible community. Such a generous community. Such a huge contribution by Dryden GM and it really just does so much for the Christmas Cheer program.
Howard notes the number of people in need of a hamper continues to grow and they’ve really had to pull things together to accommodate everyone.
She says hampers will be delivered this week.
To volunteer with Christmas Cheer, contact Peggy Howard at 223-5995 ext. 204.
Monetary donations and toys can be dropped off at the Community Support Centre at 53 Arthur Street.
