Kenora Conservative MP Eric Melillo has issued a short statement on the resignation of party leader Andrew Scheer.
Melillo says Scheer has made a decision to put his family first and that he respects his decision.
He also thanked Scheer for his service to Canadians and the party.
Melillo says their goal remains on “delivering positive change for Canadians and holding this government to account.”
