The provincial government has released its plans on how it plans to deal with emissions from commercial vehicles and buses.
A new emissions testing program will be launched January 1st.
Environment Minister Jeff Yurek says it includes stronger standards and heightened enforcement.
Yurek says “This new enhanced emissions testing program will target the biggest polluters on our roads and ban the sale of devices that interfere with, or disable, emissions controlled systems.”
Heavy duty commercial vehicle will be permitted to get an emissions test as well as a safety inspection at the same time and location.
