At the church there was refreshments and an informational display to show information about the victims in the tragic event, but also helpful in for on recognizing domestic abuse and ways to combat it.
Hoshizaki House Executive Director Stacey Lambe says the main purpose of the event is to bring people together to raise awareness of the issues surrounding violence against women and to help get people to understand their cause.
Lambe also says the information about domestic abuse on the display is important because many victims of domestic abuse don’t realize the violence they are actually are facing since they miss the important red flags.
