Domtar is once again partnering with the Dryden High School Ambassadors to bring some Christmas magic to the community.
The company turned to local students to assemble this years float for the Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade, in exchange for a donation for the clubs upcoming trip to Berlin, Prague, Krakow and Budapest.
Forestlands and Public Affairs Coordinator Dianne Loewen says the relationship is entering its tenth year.
“A wonderful partnership that allows the students a great opportunity for some team building and creative and collaborative work. And we are just so happy that they continue to do this partnership with them each year.”
Loewen states “We are very focused on youth in terms of our community giving. Not only here in Dryden but it’s something that’s very important for the company as a whole. It’s one of the key criteria that we look for when applications come forward for support.”
She adds youth are our future, their future employees and our future leaders, so Domtar makes a dedicated effort to support them.
“Game On” is the theme of the 2019 Domtar Santa Claus Parade float.
The parade starts tonight (Friday) at the old Moose Hall site at 6:30pm and you are asked to bring a donation for the Christmas Cheer program.
