A generous campaign has been met with a generous donation at St. Joseph’s School in Dryden.
The school recently held a week-long food drive where students brought in non-perishable food items in order to be donated to the Dryden Food Bank.
The students and their families worked hard and were able to bring together 1,800 food items.
The students were gathered in the school gym today as an announcement was made by Tbaytel.
Bianca Kelos from Tbaytel told the students that they were going to match each food item with a donation of two dollars, and they presented the Dryden Food Bank with a $3,600 cheque.

Acting Vice-Principal Joe Hart says they were contacted by Tbaytel a week and a half ago in order to begin the drive as a part of Tbaytel’s 12 Days of Christmas Campaign.
Hart also says they had a challenge where the class that collected the most food was rewarded with a pizza lunch.
He also says he’s happy that the school was able to come together and help the Food Bank help families in need.
