The Ontario Human Rights Commission has announced dates for public hearings into its Right to Read inquiry.
While the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is one of eight being look at, none of the public hearings are in the Kenora Riding.
Caryl Hron is the acting Director of Education and she says in a letter received from the Commission, province-wide tests were not the guideline.
Hron also says the inquiry is not based on Education, Quality and Accountability test scores.
The only public inquiry in northwestern Ontario is in Thunder Bay on February 25th.
Kenora will host a community meeting early in 2020.
