CP Holiday Train Entertains Dryden

A fun and sunny day in Dryden as the CP Holiday Train made its way through.

The cross-country adventure made the stop in Dryden this morning and brought lots of fun and great music for a good cause.

As the train opened up, the music began with the first artist, Madeline Merlo.

Following Merlo’s performance was a special announcement.

Dryden Councillor Michelle Price and Dryden Food Bank Manager Al Huckabay were on the stage and pleased to hear the food bank is receiving a $6,000 donation from CP.

Huckabay says the whole event is a great Christmas tradition and the giving they see from the event is humbling.

The food bank also brought their new refrigerated van.

He also says there is always a need at the Dryden Food Bank for donations, but he is grateful for the donations that they see during the holiday to help with the slower times of the season like January and February when donation amounts aren’t as high.

Following the announcement was a performance by Scott Helman.

To end the show both Madeline Merlo and Scott Helman hit the stage at the same time for the final performance as the train prepared itself for the remainder of its trek across Canada.
