The home opener for the Dryden Eagles High School Hockey teams didn’t go as planned.
Both the Girls and Boys fell to the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints last night.
The Saints Girls exploded for six goals in the third period, three on the power-play in an 8-1 victory.
Hailee Lundmark scored Dryden’s lone goal.
The Saints outshot the Eagles 44-16.
In Boys action, St. Thomas Aquinas broke the game open late as well in a 7-2 win.
Brandon Gustafson and Jayden Lyle scored for Dryden.
Both teams return to the ice next Monday at home against Beaver Brae.
