Enrollment at the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is holding steady.
Figures released by the public school board show there were 72 more students compared to last year, but 75 fewer at the secondary level.
Superintendent of Business Richard Findlay says those figures come from the end of October.
Findlay says he will be able to give trustees a more complete picture at their January meeting.
He says “It doesn’t necessarily translate that because our elementary is higher than it will all translate that they all will go on to secondary, because a lot of it depends on kids coming from the north.”
He notes the good news is that funding is based on projections this past summer and don’t reflect current student numbers.
