A joint investigation in Northwestern Ontario has resulted in drug charges against 4 people from Dryden, Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.
The investigation was conducted by Dryden Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit with assistance from the Kenora Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau, the Kenora Community Street Crime Unit and the Dryden Police Service.
Police say on Thursday at 7:37 AM they conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17A near Highway 658 and they took the four individuals into custody.
Police also say they found 155.82 grams of Methamphetamine, 11.91 grams of cocaine, 22 fentanyl pills, $1,715 in cash and other items associated with the drug trafficking trade.
Provincial Police say the street value of the drugs is estimated to be worth around $50,000.
As a result of investigations 47-year-old Bradley Ouellette from Dryden, 29-year-old Samantha Chikane from Sioux Lookout, 39-year-old Bradley Jager from Dryden and 31-year-old Katie Methot of Thunder Bay face multiple charges including Possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Police also say Ouellette faces an additional charge of Resisting a Peace Officer and Chikane also faces an additional charge of Failing to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge.
OPP say Ouellette appeared in bail court today and the other accussed are to appear in Kenora Court on December 12th to answer to the charges.
