For the first time in franchise history, a member of the Wisconsin Lumberjacks has received the SIJHL/Play It Again Sports Player of the Week award.
Rookie forward Cade Moreland received the honour after a multiple-point effort in three games.
Moreland scored and added an assist in a late road setback in Thunder Bay before assisting on both game-winners and putting up five points in two victories against Dryden GM.
Since October 1st, the 18-year-old from Virgina, Minnesota has recorded 13 points in 11 games.
Josh Gardner of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and Red Lake’s Spencer Milne also received consideration.
