Energy Minister Greg Rickford is putting the blame on the previous Liberals when it comes to an increase in hydro bills.
During Question Period yesterday (Monday), an MPP asked why the Ford government has allowed hydro rates to go up to which Rickford replied they inherited a mess and an unmitigated disaster.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP says they have taken immediate and important steps in the past year and a half to reduce costs system wide.
Rickford adds they have introduced legislation and repealed others to guarantee that they will be able to cut costs in the not so distant future.
The opposition continued to pressure the government saying the PC’s are failing to lower bills and allowing them to get higher.
