Some advice to newly elected Liberals as they get set to be part of a minority government.
Thunder Bay’s Ken Boshcoff, who sat on two Liberal minority governments, suggests it was a real eye-opener for him.
“Minority governments are brutal. You have to be on your toes 24/7 for the entire term. You have to do your constituent work at the same time, knowing that there could be an election almost any day.”
The former MP says the prime minister will not be able to govern like he has a majority.
Boshcoff also issued a warning to Patty Hajdu and Marcus Powlowski.
“They have a very stressful time ahead. Because a vote can be called at any time, by almost any party and if it’s a vote of confidence, than the government could fall.”
