The Dryden GM Ice Dogs are teaming up with the Dryden Food Bank to help the less fortunate in our community.
Local residents are being encouraged to pick up a specialized ‘It Takes A Team’ bag at the Food Bank and fill it with items.
Food Bank Manager Allen Huckabay outlines some of the items they are looking for.
“Non-perishable items. Canned fruit, canned vegetables, some canned meat, soup, Mac and Cheese.”
Huckabay says there’s also a major need for baby food, stating they have a number of clients with young children.
All bags can be dropped off at the Memorial Arena on Wednesday night when the Ice Dogs host Thunder Bay.
Huckabay is also the Team Chaplin for Dryden GM.
“One of the things that I’ve really found is that this year the guys are really, really open to doing a lot of things in the community. They really want to connect to the community.”
