It’s a big year for Kinsman and Kinettes across the country.
This is the 100th Anniversary for Kin Canada and National President Brian Cooper is taking time to meet with members.
Cooper stopped in Dryden yesterday (Thursday, October 18th) as part of a tour of District 2.
“It’s a time for us to look back at all that we’ve done. The billions of dollars that we’ve raised. But as well, looking for the future and looking for new members all the time to join our Association.”
Cooper adds ‘We have seen an increase in the past few years. We hope that continues in the years to come. We just encourage anybody out there who is interested in helping to make your community a little better, Kin Canada is the place for you to be.”
He says the Association was founded in 1920 by Hal Rogers in Hamilton, Ontario.
Cooper notes they’ve spread across the entire county over the past 100 years.
During his visit to Dryden, Cooper took time to visit the hospital and witness first hand the work being done with the Still Me Cancer program.
He also participated in a club dinner in Vermilion Bay.
The resident of Halifax will join members from across the region at the Fall Leadership Convention this weekend in Brandon, Manitoba.
For membership details, the President of Dryden Kinsman is Jay Roussin, while Theresa Waites is the President of the Dryden Kinettes
Cooper was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today.
