Preliminary advance poll numbers have been released by Elections Canada.
For the first time, polling stations were open for four days, twelve hours each day
Chief Electoral Officer Stephane Perrault says around 4.7 million Canadians cast a ballot.
That’s a 29% increase compared to 2015.
Perrault notes the numbers are preliminary.
A breakdown by province, territory and electoral districts will be made available in the near future.
