A new partnership to improve access to education in northern Ontario.
Contact North is now working with the Ontario College Application Service to enhance online services and programming.
OCAS, on a consulting basis, is providing its information technology expertise, experience and tools to support the regional educational centre.
The agency will be moving to next generation technologies to meet the needs of its 800,000 students.
Both parties say the improvements will be rolled out over a three year period and there will be no interruption in service to students, education and training.
Officials say the upgrades support their mandate to help underserved Ontarians get jobs by making it possible for them to access education and training without leaving their home communities.
