It may soon be easier for agricultural and horticultural groups in the province to do business.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Ernie Hardeman says he plans to make legislative changes to reduce red tape for over 500 volunteer-led organizations.
Hardeman says one change would eliminate the need for annual meeting notices to be both posted and mailed.
He says that change would save agricultural and horticultural groups over $100,000 a year collectively.
Hardeman says they also plan to eliminate the duplication of rules.
