All new moms out there pay attention, there is a national recall from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for President’s Choice brand Lower Iron milk based powdered infant formula.
It is being recalled due to concerns of Cronobacter.
Although Cronobacter is not commonly linked to human illness, in rare cases it can cause serious or fatal infections. Cronobacter can cause rare bloodstream and central nervous system infections and has been associated with severe intestinal infection and blood poisoning especially in newborns.
There are no illness reported with the recall.
